I've watched UT football for 64 years . . . .

I was all excited to learn how to use voice dictation rather than typing, then learned that Siri (or whatever it's called) doesn't recognize East Texas Hayseed as an official language. Would one of you young whipper snappers please design a system that understands our language?

Hey Sabre I will tell you that Siri is much more understanding on my iwatch than my iPhone. Kids got me one for my recent 70th,,,,,d*** that is difficult to say. Anyway, for whatever reason she understands my dictation on watch MUCH better than the phone. Oh, and yep ''tis true, you do not lose your passion for the Horns as you age, or at least I haven't.

While I have only been watching Texas since 1962, age hit me in the face tonight with the thought that the the Drum is 40 years old. Seems just like yesterday walking out of the last BB game at Gregory.

I am sorry, but let's assume OP really has been watching for 64 years. He is then 70 plus years old if you assume he started watching when he was 6. I remember my first games around 8 years old.

God bless your internet skills if you are actually over 70 posting on an internet board. However, I have suspicions this is an Aggy troll hoping we do not meet in Houston.

Just so you'll know, I am NOT an aggie and I'm 77 years young. I saw my first UT game in 1953 (13 years old) - -feel free to check my math.

AND, I don't give shiX whether we EVER play aggie again.

Have a good day, otherwise.

And, hook you!

:)

iis DID apologize above.

I'm thankful for guys like you, though, who were present when the Horns were becoming THE HORNS. My Pops was there then ... but he's gone now. FNL was there then, too ... thankfully still doing pretty well.

Keep us grounded as long as you're able and remembering why EVERYONE circles "TEXAS" on their calendar whether we're the preseason fav ... or (like now) trying to sluff-off the funk.

Gee hornsfan 1026 maybe we should switch screen names. I am only 75. Attended my first game in 1960. After spending 30 years as a programmer I have some internet skills also though limited.

East Texas hayseed is almost as bad as West Texas twang. I swear Siri has said "Spit out your gum and enunciate!" and ah wawsnt chawin gum.
