Was this the last win of the season?

Either game is a toss up If* our defense plays lights out lock down insane intensity defense like we know they are capable. Can they sustain that 10 games in to the season? Not sure. That is a lot to ask and I think we as cracks yesterday. Losing Hill hurts us.

If we ever fall behind by two scores we might as well forfeit.

That's pretty much the conclusion I came to last night as well. I just don't see us putting up enough points to beat either of our opponents.

Well at least I'm not the only one thinking that last night might have been it for the win column.

Hope this team surprises me and wins out. We really need that for recruiting.

I thought this too ... as I saw the pix of the tower lit Burnt Orange.

"that could be the last one of the year"

Hope not ... but if WVA and TT play their A-Game ... we'll be in big trouble.

We'll lose a close one in Morgantown and destroy Tech in Austin because:
1. We have a real defense now;
2. Tech doesn't have a real defense and never will; and
3. We've only lost to Tech in Austin once in the last 20 years (thank you, Charlie).
Kingsbury will be fired in the parking lot of the Greyhound Bus station when his team returns to Lubbock. Maybe we can then hire him to be our OC.

I see WVA winning that game. Not a blow out but not real close either. Maybe a 10-14 point difference. I think we beat Tech. Enough defense to keep it manageable and just enough offense to win, maybe a 32-30 type game.

6-6 is not pretty.

I blame that lose on refs not charlie. Don’t forget that so called fumble from Foreman after he was like 3 yds in the endzone and they gave tech a TD on the return after the guy clearly stepped out on the return

Really? Yes they are playing harder and the DB's now show some understanding of the defense they are supposed to be playing and some even reflect some film study. However, the Kansas issues were the same as the Maryland issues which were the same as 2015-2016 issues.

The Maryland game is the one that hurt us the most....Defense did not show up and offense play well enough to get a win.....any consolation in losing close games to SC, OU, and OStU? Held all well under their averages but just could not get enough offense and had 2 really costly plays at QB.....

Optimistic for future but must replenish key personnel losses and get some OLto block....

The thing about this team that's so frustrating is the final games could be any combination of wins and/or losses and I wouldn't be surprised by any outcome.

We could be realistically be 2-0, 0-2, or 1-1, and the 1-1 could go either way.

The win against KU was pretty uninspiring so I'm leaning to 0-2, but I won't be surprised by any record we end up with.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas - Dandy Don Meredith.
