Texas vs TCU game thread

It was a pretty obvious penalty, one of our WRs was blatantly blocking 10 yds downfield and not even trying to look like he was running a route.. They waved it off bc of a nonexistent tip - and the tip, being objective and not subjective, is reviewable. Surprised it was such a delay as it was crystal clear from the very first replay.

The mental mistakes in this game are just nuts. Fielding punts inside the 10, 2 personal fouls on the 1st drive. 3rd and 18 and give up 30. Just so many mental mistakes. It's like we make plays, but just kill ourselves with these huge mental mistakes.

What are likely starters next year?

I hope Williams and Traore (JUCO) at OT
But Williams might leave and we might not get the JUCO
So, it might be Cosmi (RS), Kerkstetter and Okafor
In the interior, we have 15 players to chose from (Personally I hold out hope the light goes on for Hudson at OG, but honestly, there has been no sign of this happening)
The issue is OT
And has been OT for 10 years

Theoretically shouldn't that make it easy for Texas to recruit 2 or 3 of the best OT in the country? Just sayin'.

But they didn't call illegal lineman downfield. I've seen that reviewed. They called PI which I've never once in 50 years of watching football seen reviewed. Regardless of whether it was a good call, how can you review a call when it was NEVER called. Only time I've seen PI reviewed is when it's on the D side and the ball is uncatchable.

If were were winning, yes

We do have 2 hs OTs committed. One will probably stay at OT the other to OG
Neither is in the top 25 in state
There is only one OL in the top 20 in state and he is at #19

Beck has got to go!!!!!!!!! No fing coach in their right mind runs it on 2 and 22. Man my 6 year old daughter could call better plays. Why not a trick play or two! It seems like the coaching staff is playing to lose instead of playing to win. It is like let’s let our defense win it!! Oh well we suck!!

Right, and PI cannot happen if the ball is tipped. They didn't call it ONLY for the reason that it was (supposedly) tipped, and they did come right out and announce that.

Okay, enough cynicism, lets go Horns!

We're about to shock the nation! Hornfans, anyway. The Nation isn't bothering watching this snoozefest.

Passes that are most often successful: RB screens and quick passes over the middle.

What we most often call: bombs, sideline passes, WR screens.
