...taking a little informal poll for my blog. What are your travel favorites (based on places you've actually visited)?

Italy - A given, for me...
Buenos Aires - Coveting a second home there
Palm Springs - So much to do in a small area and great climate
Los Cabos - My favorite to date but I suspect this will eventually get replaced
Arapahoe Basin - Pure skiing mountain
Shoreham Hotel in New York City - Not the fanciest or the biggest but a home away from home in New York City
 
i could give different answers each time asked, but for now:

italy
phoenix
new orleans/ florida keys
any in australia (the stingers a minus, but the toplessness makes up for it)
dont ski
hotel is too hard to answer. depends on the city.

Toss up: NYC, London, Paris, Rome, Florence
Colorado Rockies
Barbados or St. John
Vail
Any place with a hot shower and comfortable bed.

Hotel: I guess the Omni Hotel in Houston. Never been in a really nice hotel.

Hotel : Franz Klammer Lodge, Telluride or maybe Sun City in S.A.

Ski Resort:: Jackson Hole
Hotel: Principe Di Savoia in Milano (very italian and one of the most elegant lobby bars I have seen)

I wish you had asked for favorite island or favorite worldwide destination because it would be Santorini without question. The island of Santorini really didn't fit into any of your categories.

Ski Resort- Whistler in B.C...it's awesome
Hotel- Peninsula in Hong Kong..they pick you up in the airport in a Rolls
 
Italy!! I lived on the island of Ischia for 7 months....
