You pick the set of golf clubs

I have about $800 of pro shop credit that I need to spend before the new year. The problem is I have all the golf stuff I could need at this point. I would be willing to order any set of clubs you want (up to 800) and sell them to you for $650. Just tell me what you would like.

Thanks

That's a good deal. I wish I had the money and need for different clubs. But I guess the R7 is always a reason to buy another club.

If I were in your position I'd buy a combination of putters / drivers / fairway woods. Those are probably easier to move individually than a whole set of irons.

I'm thining Taylor Made R7 Driver, Odyssey Two-Ball Putter, etc.

I agree with Traffic. You're probably better off getting drivers, hybrids, wedges, etc. if you're looking to resell, say on ebay or something.

Any idea how much your shop is asking for Titlest 983K drivers? Retail price recently dropped from $399 to $299 at Golfsmith. If it wasn't so close to Christmas I might be willing to cut a deal with you on one. I've been drooling over that thing for nearly a year.

Seems like half the players on the tour are hitting R7's these days.

Cleveland CG-10 wedges are supposed to be da bomb, although I haven't yet had a chance to hit one.

Callaway just came out with some butt-ugly irons. Not sure what the hell that company thinks it's doing. Although I hit a Heavenwood the other day and it seemed pretty nice, just not as nice as the Taylor Made Rescues. Plus it made a weird pinging sound at impact.

Pretty much any Scotty Cameron putter will draw a good price. The Red X was the highest rated in Golf magazine's test a couple of months ago. Maybe get a Ping Doc 17 (?) just because you can.

If nothing else, buy $800 worth of ProV1's and pass 'em out at the next tailgate.

El Guapo's suggestion for the tailgate is excellent.
Someone so magnanimous could be put forward as next in line for a statue at DKR.

Good Looking's idea is good. But if you put the Pro V1's on eBay you will make 800 dollars of credit turn in 800 dollars in cash. The Pro V1 is a hot product and will sell around retail on eBay.
