Okay, so I think my XP is really FUBAR. When I start up the computer I get this error message that says Windows sockets initialization failed......whatever the **** that means. I can't connect to the internet from home now, I can't open windows media player, and the damn thing just runs soooo slow now.
So I went to the HP website on how to fix something like this, and what I find is something called a "Destructive Recovery" It sounds like this will just put what I had on the computer when I got it and clean everything up. Have any of you tried this before, and does it sound like I might really **** up my computer more if I do this.
The hp website said it will reinstall windows xp and the original software that came with the computer............ANY HELP would really be helpfull.
