WVU suit to dismiss Big East lawsuit denied by Rhode Island judge.

Legal timetable not defined but WVU trial (WVU suit against Big East) is scheduled for June.

Going to cut it close for participating in Big 12 in 2012. I haven't heard any official comments regarding what will actually happen if Big 12 is down to 9 teams for 2012 football season.

Interesting Note: Missouri and TAMU are still listed on UT schedule for 2012 on mackbrown-texasfootball website. B12 website shows no 2012 schedules.

The Big-12 can't allow Missouri to leave without West Virginia being cleared to play. Our conference would have to sue Missouri to block their move to the SEC.

Based on the B12 Bylaws, I didn't see any way to stop MU from leaving. Only the penalty is affected by how much notice is given. Now, suing MU for damages resulting from TV contract problems is another thing.
