Williams graduated HS in 2013 having played with incomer John Burt at Lincoln High in Tallashassee.
Per BON:
Williams is a pure vertical threat with impressive top-end speed that allows him to separate from slower defensive backs. Perhaps more impressive is the fact that he operates with short, choppy strides that belie his overall height and allow him to change direction with alacrity. As a result, he can get in an out and breaks quickly and can make opponents miss.
In the red zone, his combination of quickness on slants and big body on fade routes makes him difficult to stop and provides further value -- he can play bigger than his 180 pounds in the red zone, but is also a major threat in the open field.
Per Scout:
Williams is not only a big-and rangy type of receiver who can make plays deep down the field he is also a receiver who you can look to often on intermediate and short routes. He is powerful on the get off, driving defenders off the LOS to respect his deep abilities. He is also a red-zone weapon who quarterbacks can trust around the goalline.
Williams led the Reivers with 77 receptions for 949 yards and 11 touchdowns as a freshman this past season.
The talented wideout will have three years to play two after he finishes up his two-year degree this coming December.
