The point is that he seemed to be incentivized to seek a position within Federal Government. Citi was hauling him out of government, fattening his wallet, and then paying him to go back into the government. That reeks of regulatory capture and conflict of interest.

You are getting all worked up over nothing. There is nothing wrong about getting paid buttloads of money to go into government service and then get nominated to a high position in the Obama administration. This is just transparency at work.
