Wow Gameday....Even Heard of The Big XII?

5 teams in the top 13 in one poll and top 14 in the other and hardly a whisper about the conference. Nothing but an SEC is awesome, ACC sucks, and what's wrong with Michigan and Notre Dame ad nauseum 2-hour waste of time. Wake the hell up.

Still, odd that even though our game is on ESPN2, the only mention I've heard of Texas is a passing blurb when talking about Oklahoma being tested.

Big 12 will roll this weekend with no marquee matchups. Most games are late as well.

SEC will stumble more and more soon and then they will get on the bandwagon.

Big XII has a lackluster schedule this week and they always play up to the home crowd. Besides, I didn't know we were supposed to take that show seriously.

The Big 12 is 3rd rung behind the Big Ten and SEC in ESPN's marketing approach. The only way the Big 12 gets any kind of coverage on ESPN is if we have a marquee matchup game or there is some kind of massive meltdown going on with one of the conference powers.

College Gameday has not done a good job covering all of college football in years.

As long as FoxSW is the primary carrier for Big 12 games ESPN isn't going to talk up the conference. That would essentially be free advertising for the competition.

Yeah...once the Big 12 gets rid of FSN and on to ESPN we will get coverage. It is free advertising for FSN if ESPN talks about the Big 12

I gave up on ESPN cred during the 2005 season. Kirk H. was such a homer when we played tOSU and was almost speechless after the game. Leading up to the MNC game Mapes and company were all "Greatest Team Ever" and afterwards, never a "We were so wrong."
