Would there be any advantage to restricting

Hook'em
travel from West Africa?
I hear the stupid reasons given by the BO admin ( if we stop commercial travel we can't get aid to them)

BO just said the airports in those countries are doing careful scrutiny but as we see from Duncan not careful enough or not in the right time frame.
This would not be a permanent ban.
So far one person with ebola who got in has infected or caused to be infected 3 other people with many more under watch.
Why wouldn't we restrict for now?

Four things need to be done immediately:

1) eliminate travel from infected countries
2) fire current CDC leader and replace with capable leader
3) Identify, train and certify one hospital per region as ebola level 1 certified
4) immediately quarantine EVERYONE known to have been exposed regardless if they have symptoms for 21 days

All deaths beyond this are directly on Obama's hands. The ineptness of this man knows no bounds.

When you read the guidelines for treating eboal viticms on the CDC site ( hopefully they have changed them now ) you see how inept CDC is
and to hear the head of CDC tell Megyn Kelly last night there was no reason to wear any sort of head covering you realize this agency is as inept as IRS DOJ State etc.

maybe we should send the head of CDC into a room with an ebola victim and NO head covering and see what happens when the patient vomits in his face as he is trying to insert a needle.

I was the infection control practitioner at a 60 bed hospital for 8 years The CDC is lost on this one Dr Friedman said 2 weeks ago that any hospital could take care of these patients by using the traditional contact precautions. He was terribly wrong and in my opinion should step down now. Obviously the virus is either airborne or is suspended in air by droplet nuclei. If a nurse came in contact with with the infectious agent their skin would protect them barring an open wound, entry into the eyes, nose, or mouth. The government is either in the dark on how it spreads or they are lieing to us. All air traffic from the countries under siege should stop now. We may not see many more cases, but the possibility of a full blown outbreak is possible.

The Obama administration believes deception is the best form of communication in every crisis. ISIS, Benghazi, F&F, IRS and now ebola.

I really miss some of the sheep around here posting on how smart and intelligent the administration is on all issues. Heck, maybe they might comment on how the massive cuts of Obamacare might impact the hospital's ability to manage the situation. Is there anybody around advocating for government run healthcare based upon the CDC's leadership?

Center for Disorganization and Confusion

Obama doesn't want to halt travel from Liberia for the same reasons he doesn't want to secure the border; he's a globalist. He doesn't believe in borders.

That crap about health workers couldn't go to Liberia to help is nonsense. Special charters into those countries could be arranged and controled.

Not only will BO NOT restrict travel from the infected countries he is still allowing our embassies there to issue visas.
Again this would be nothing permanent but for now wouldn't it be common sense to not issue a visa to a non US nationals?

Why would Bo halt flights to and from Israel but not from infected countries?

There’s a petition at the whitehouse.gov petition site calling for a halt to all incoming flights from Ebola-stricken countries. In my mind, the petition doesn’t go far enough – it should deny entry to anyone whose travel originated from a high-risk country – but at least it might help force a public debate on the issue. The Obama administration has promised to respond to any petitions that acquire 100,000 electronic signatures by the stated deadline. As of right now, the petition has 37,000 signatures, with a deadline of October 31st.

thanks
I will find that petition
but we already know BO will not do anything.

We need to not only restrict flights from those areas but also deny or quarantine any with passports from those areas or whose passports show travel to those areas within a certain time frame.
This would not be permanent and is just common sense.

I sincerely hope you aren't serious, That you are just engaging in your usual snark at anything that questions BO
.
That post may have been your most ridiculous But I will reserve judgment for now.

yes there are flights, even direct flights to Liberia And sierra leone.
But we should also restrict those, who like Duncan did, flight to other cities and then to USA
JUST FOR NOW

The head the CDC said today before Congress
''We're always open to ideas for what we can do to keep Americans safe,' Frieden said in his opening statement, departing from his prepared remarks in the face of a hostile and impatient panel in a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee.

'We would consider any options to better protect Americans,' he said later during a Q&A period."

Anyone? Bueller/ Bueller?

Yesterday, The Great Leader said he has 'no philosophical objection' to a travel ban, but he doubts its effectiveness.

So, if it gets alot worse, he MAY do something about it. Oh, and he canceled a few democratic fund raisers too.

Even Saudi Arabia had enough sense to ban W. Africans from the hajj pilgramage.
