Worst TV Movie Mini-Series Ever

NBC's Knights Templar has got to be one of the worst things I've ever seen on TV and that was with Mira Sorvino. Thank God I tivo'd it and was able to fast forward through a lot of it.

Band Of Brothers?

I'll agree that "The Last Templar" was pure schlock, but for biggest bust, I'll go with "Comanche Moon." It took some real work to turn such a great book into an utterly disappointing and unentertaining miniseries.

For the worst you have to go back more than a few years. I'll nominate two in Rich Man, Poor Man and The Thorn Birds.

Commanche Moon was a big dissappointment after Lonsome Dove. House of Sadam on HBO was kind of a waste of time too.

"Rich Man, Poor Man?" You have got to be kidding me. Robert Reed as the scumbag child rapist Teddy Boylan. Sheer greatness!

Agreed on Comanche Moon.

There was a mini-series in the 80s with Richard Chamberlain about the old west (historical fiction..John Fremont and that bunch). If I remember right it was a 2-parter and it was so bad, they didn't even show the second part!

77horn, maybe you're referring to "Dream West" (1986), which was abt Fremont, although the 36 votes it has on IMDB (IMDB is your friend) rates it 6.9/10. I don't recall it, but it did have a cast including Ben Johnson, Rip Torn, Claude Akins, F. Murray Abraham.

I might have to pick "Jacqueline Susann's Valley of the Dolls" (1981), a bunch of dreck starring Lisa Hartman, Veronica Hamel, Gary Collins, and Bert Convy. I remember it well because after watching a few minutes of it I went outside and set my hair onfire.

What I saw of The Andromeda Strain last year was horrible

yes, i forgot about this. it was so bad i must have blocked it from my memory. from what i recall, they completely politicized it around a global warming agenda or something like that.

I will assume you were joking due to the smilee face at the bottom of your post. If not, you will soon mysteriously die in a horrible farming accident.

Does the horrible 10.0 meet the criteria? I mean, California falling in to the sea based on a cataclysmic 10.0 earthquake... sounds like good **** to me.

Blah-blah-blah...

ABC is doing a remake...@#$% yeah!

I wonder if they will remake the alien birth scene. Probably the most watched mini-series episode ever.

My favorite hands down is Lonesome Dove I own it and probably have watched it over the years 20 times.

"I 'spect you been sittin' up all night reading the good book."

NBC owes me four hours of my life back for the last templar. How can a network that gives us ER, the Office, My Name Is Earl, and Heros put this piece of crap on the air. I've often made the comment when someone messes something up by saying, "Even Michael Jordan missed a shot now and then," but that was MJ blowing a dunk on an eight foot goal. Than again they did do that many series on the antichrist, last year or the year before.

I didn't make it past the first night. I would still vote for v or shogun.
