Worst songs of the 90's

"Anything by Limp Bizkit" made me laugh. Lots of songs on that list that I quite enjoy - OPP, Whoomp (There it is), November Rain, Hold On (yeah, I like it), Rico Suave (c'mon, sing it with me rrrrrrrrrrico) ....

I disagree with the following...
November Rain is not a decent song.
Tubthumping, How Bizarre are ok songs. Just way overplayed.

I would say worst song is one that is horrible the first time you hear is and you cringe cuz you know it will be played a million more times.

Like "mmmm.... bop" and "My heart will go on"

yeah i gotta take exception to "november rain" and mr. big's "to be with you." they also used the cover from m.c. hammer's first album to represent "2 legit 2 quit" which was the second album, and did in fact suck.

They're too hard on the gimic songs that were kind of fun even if eventually overplayed. I'm Too Sexy, How Bizarre, Chambawamba and a few others were fine, just overplayed.

Have to strongly agree on I'll Be Your Everything. I would add the "Lullabye" song. You know the one, the sad SoCal girl whose parents threw partes attended by Dennis Hopper and Sonny and Cher.

Shania Twain had a couple of cross over hits that almost caused me to break a finger hitting another button on the car radio. Something about a guy combing his hair too much? Yikes.

I don't think the following belong on that list:
paula abdul (watch the video on youtube and tell me you didn't enjoy that song as an adolescent)
rico suave was fun at the time
wilson philips wasn't really that annoying
all about the benjamins was a badass song at the time and i still like it
i'm too sexy is a classic and pretty funny
november rain? c'mon
hootie and the blowjobs are pretty queer in retrospect, but there was alot worse crap out at the time
make 'em say uugh? are you f-ing kidding me? great song.
whoomp there it is? yet another classic, wtf?
mr. big's "be with you" wasn't bad
OPP was overplayed but a great song as well

the makers of this list suck

i am a big fan of the 90s, as you might be able to tell, but this list is the worst list of the worst songs of the 90s, ever.

I would have never guessed that November Rain and OPP would be on a list like this. Yeah, November Rain is drawn out, but I think those are actually good songs.

The Chumbawamba, Right Said Fred, and Gerardo ones were fun at the time. I can see people not liking them or looking back in retrospect and thinking they were cheesey, but I wouldn't consider them the worst thing ever.

Also, that Barbie Girl song really needs to be on this list. That sucked at the time, and it still sucks.

Finally, how on earth did the New Kids on the Block, Color Me Badd, Backstreet Boys, and every other boy band completely miss this list? I'll admit some of those songs were catchy, but some of them really sucked, too.

#6 is the worst for me if i could stab gerardo i would. I hate that song rico suave, my name is rigo and i couldnt tell you how many times i've had that freaking song mentioned to me.

How in the **** do you make that list without MmmMmMmm or whatever the **** the title of that Crash Test Dummies song was?!?!?!?

oh **** me, "Barbie Girl" is a huuuge omission

and "How Bizarre" is awesome, if not a little overplayed at the time

Every single boy band song should be on this list, as well as anything and everything by Ace of Base.

And definitely, a couple of the songs on the list, should not be.

Though I was in college in the early- to mid-90's, I think I checked out of this decade's "popular" music.

Accentuate the positive:
Jeff Buckley
+LIVE+
Afghan Whigs
U2's rebirth
Soundgarden
Our Lady Peace
G.Love
Liz Phair
Big Wreck
Michael Penn
Pixies
Matthew Sweet

Locally (Austin):
Joe Rockhead/Ugly Americans
Sunflower
Rhythm Child/Jump Train
Mad Hatter/Hatter/Pushmonkey
Banana Blender Surprise
Vallejo
Arc Angels

And one of my favorite albums was Lloyd Cole's "Don't Get Weird on Me, Babe."
