World Series Game 3

Back home in Arlington, Harrison on the mound against Lohse. Hamilton is ailing but the Rangers should still look a lot better at the plate at home then they did this past week on the road.

This is almost as much a must win as Thursday as Carpenter looms in game five which most (myself included) count as a likely loss.

Harrison is done in the fourth and shouldnt be. He gets no help at all from his defense. Terrible throw from Kinsler followed by a bad call that never would have happened if Kinsler makes the throw, atrocious throw from Napoli home and then the drawn in single. Harrison makes great play to get second out at plate. 5-0 with 2 on and 2 outs in top of fourth.

Feldman on to pitch now for Rangers. Gets grounder to Kinsler who makes the throw this time to get third out.

Big inning leaves Rangers with a huge 5-0 hole and thus far the bats have remained silent.

Solo Shot for Young leads off fourth.

Beltre with single and then two run shot for Nelson.

Napoli with single up middle and that chases Lohse.

5-3 Cards no outs in bottom of fourth and Napoli on first. Rangers showing fire after that nightmare top of fourth.

Murphy with a nubber moves Napoli to second with one down. Torrealba gets a single but only to third goes Napoli. Kinsler then flies out to left and Napoli is gunned down at plate.

Napoli having bad night at first and now running as well as twice he is too slow to score!

Feldman blows up in the fifth, single followed by back to back walks, then ground out rbi and double plates two more and Cards have 5 run lead again.

Looks like it ain't gonna happen tonight. Errors and another crappy start doing it this time. Rangers weren't going to sweep at home anyway. So, we'll have to hope Holland can even the series tomorrow.

Rangers get all three back in bottom of fifth but Kinsler pops out weakly to second with the bases loaded to end inning. 8-6 Cardinals.

Same ump that failed to make the correct call in the first or second inning of game 1 where Beltre fielded a close one hopper and he ruled it a catch. They better not trot that idiot out for game 4.

Ogando cant get out of inning and leaves with bases loaded and one out, even worse he throws so many pitches he is probably not available tomorrow.

Gonzalez in and gives up SAC fly 12-6 Cards.

This is so much like game one against TB on the pitching and defensive side it is scary, scary butt ugly that is.

Not really concerned about losing Ogando for tomorrow. He was average in games 1 and 2 and was pitiful tonight.

Tough to win a ball game when you cannot pitch and play defense, Rangers were poor tonight at both. Cards are better team tonight and they could win the series now, huge win by them in game 3 IMO.

Rangers get leadoff single from Andrus but Hamilton grounds into DP and Young K's. 6 full done and Cardinals lead 12-6.

But for a stunning ninth inning on Thursday the Rangers could easily be down 3-0 in this series. They just choked on every level tonight defense, pitching, even hitting (which is saying something given that they have 6 runs).

So in your opinion the Cards were the better team tonight, could win the series because of it, and tonight's win was huge for them? Thanks for the glorious insight.

Rangers get meaningless run in bottom of seventh to make it 14-7. Time to put this one to bed, throw away the film and come back tomorrow the same way they came back in game two against TB. They won three straight after that game one stinker, hopefully they can do it again.

What I am saying is most people were saying Rangers in 4 or 5 games, Cardinals did not get the respect they deserved coming in.

They were 9-10 back on Sept 1st. Regardless you can make that point by stating just that, and not stating the painfully obvious.

There was no way the Rangers were going to sweep the Cards and taking 4 out of 5 was a pipe dream. Cards will be in the driver's seat after this debacle, especially if Holland doesn't rebound tomorrow. That will really tick me off.

15-7 through 8 full. This series still has a long way to go no reason to give up ship yet. I keep remembering how crappy they looked against TB in game 1 a 9-0 blow out and they won next three. Cards are good team playing great ball and fortunately tonight only counts for 1 game in the series.
