Oh I forgot, she's not a liberal activist who wants to mandate transgender operation coverage. But she does have the exact same qualifications for testifying before Congress that Fluke had.

People have already lost interest in Ms Fluke. Her 15 mins are about up. Now we begin waiting for the Playboy spread or the inevitable Enquirer expose.....

Ms. Fluke never had her 15 minutes. She would have never even been noticed had it not been for Rush Limbaugh opening his mouth. It's his misogynistic labeling of her that is the story, not her.
 
Yes I had. And oddly enough, the news accounts were of a Georgetown law student who testified of the dire need for contraceptive coverage. No word on who she was or what her background was.

I had also heard the complaints by the dems of women being excluded - but it was only after the fact that some of learned that women were NOT in fact excluded, but that the dems NEVER ASKED FOR ONE TO TESTIFY UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE TO GET HER APPROVED. The media made it very clear that the men on the committee did not want women testifying - and they said it in so many words!
 
When I was a grad student forty years ago, my prof assigned a book called The Image, by Daniel Boorstin. He talked about how we were getting obsessed with bs staged events that existed for no reason but to get coverage.

Sound familiar?

I got rid of cable a year ago in anticipation of these staged events called elections. Good move on my part.

the only thing lost lost in all the feaux outrage is that limbaugh was right about fluke. this chick needs to pay for her own contraceptives, or deal with paying for her own mistakes. why is this so hard to understand? why? its her life to succeed or fail based on her decisions. i shouldn't be subjected to paying for her decisions or mistakes.
 
You lefties realizr ms Fluke did NOT " testufy" before a congressional committee, right?

she spoke before a DEM only group, carefully orchestrated to look like she was.

and if Dems had actually abided by the rules in place she might have actually testified but then she would have also been questioned by committee members. Dems couldn't have that could they?

The sad thing is how so many were duped, even many on here.
 
I thought liberals wanted the government to stay the hell out of their bedrooms and their "private parts." It is getting difficult to keep up.
 
To compare Limbaugh with Olbermann is laughable. Limbaugh has had the top-rated national radio show for 20 years running. Olbermann has diddly squat.

The only comparison that I made is that they are both obnoxious windbags. Rush has obviously been far more successful in broadcast. I know that without even watching msnbc or listening to Clear Channel stations.

Rush really doesn't have a good comparison on the left. The closest would probably be Michael Moore, who I also would prefer to ignore. Like Rush, he seems to have a large following, a talent for what he does (documentary film making, not influencing people), and a willingness to spend much of his time battling straw men and distorting the viewpoints of people he disagrees with.
 
Yeah, I guess the biggest difference I see is that Olbermann is just an angry dude with serious issues. I don't see that with Limbaugh at all. He's a windbag but a funny and generally jovial one. He makes fun of people. He crossed the line with this young lady but anyone in the business of being funny will do that these days.

So this woman WAS getting the more expensive pill paid for by Georgetown Ins and then they stopped?
This is pretty convenient. If this truly happened then she needs to tell the admin at Georgetown who it is.

BC pills are free or nect to it at PPH and $9.00 a month at the Target one mile from campus.

without verification and knowing the Georgetown Ins DOES cover medical constions that require BC like pills I am thinking msFluke borrowed a page from BO and put up many strawmen
