Ladies take the doubles point, up 1-0 heading to singles.

Texas about to claim the doubles point. Larsson and Lancaster won, Ellis and Codovic are serving up 7-4, and Craddock and D'amcio are up 7-4. Pity a sweep of the doubles matches only translates to one point of the seven point match.

End up sweeping all three doubles matches.

Horns take set 1 on court 4. Lose set 1 on court 6. On serve on courts 1, 2, 3 and 5 in first set.

Horns lose set 1 on courts 1 and 5. On serve on 2 and 3. aggy with 3 first sets so far Texas with 1.

In second set up break on court 6 (down set)

Horns take set 1 on court 3 but lose set one on court 2.

singles now stand aggy with 4 matches up 1 set; Texas up 1 set in two matches.

Will need some comebacks.

Horns up a set and a break on courts 3 and 4. will need comebacks from one of other matches.

Mello for Horns gets set back on court 5 but Horns are no longer up a break on court 4 as Larsson is broken to go 4 all..

Damico is falling apart in second set on court 2 and looks headed to a straight set loss. Lancaster on 3 is two games from straight set win.

Damico's second set collapse ends in 6-1 deficit and straight set loss. She never recovered from the tiebrake loss at end of first set.

Ellis gets set back on court 1 to send that match to third set. Mello is now up 2 breaks in the third set on court 5

Lancaster on court 3 gets straight set win and almost immediately thereafter Larrson follows.

3-2 Texas.

Larsson and Lancaster have won singles matches. Mello up 4-1 in third set.

Mello up 5-1 on court 5 now in third set. 1 more game and Texas wins.

Mello serves out the match to win 2 sets to 1.

Ellis is on serve in the third 1-1.

Texas leads 4-2 and has clinched the win.

Nice comback for the ladies as they were down in singles at one point in 4 matches by a set.

Bill in Sinton will be pleased this is a big LSS point for Texas. The Horns can win the LSS tomorrow by winning mens tennis and the softball game.

Mello wins and Texas gets the point.

Ellis is playing a marathon match on court 1, almost an hour after the Horns clinch and she is up 6-5 in the third.

 

[FWHORN]

Ellis serves out the match at 7-5 in the third set. Lady Horns take both matches that went to three sets by sweeping last two sets.

Horns win 5-2.
