Colorado, Oklahoma State and Kansas all won their first round match-ups in the WNIT. They're all on the same side of the bracket, though - would be nice if at least one was on the other side. NCAA bubble-team Michigan lost to Eastern Michigan so not a good result for a team that figured to be among the strongest in the field. And not that it means anything but Creighton, who beat Marquette this season, lost to Northwestern in round one. Karen Aston's Charlotte squad also won and go up against Dawn Staley and South Carolina in rd two.

Colorado is in the quarterfinals and meets USC for a place in the final four of the WNIT. Aston led Charlotte are in the same position on the oppostie side of the bracket, and face Debbie Ryan and Virginia for a spot in the semi-finals.
