With losing comes consequences...

You’re not going to like this, but I feel UT is better off without a kid who decommits.
Sam didn’t, Coburn didn’t, Bijon didn’t under somewhat similar situations.
Good luck young man, gimme a kid like Kai Money or Cort with heart.
Again, I’m not trying to make you mad, because you must live in Denton but if he doesn’t want to be a Longhorn, he can go elsewhere .

I don't live in Denton, but I do have access to the internet. And I don't get mad until Saturday comes around. And I suspect we've got a team full of young men that either don't care or don't want to be here. What's one more?

Loved you in Its a Wonderful life, but unless you are in the locker room- pardon me for not trusting your knowledge of what the players are thinking.
Also, no sarcasm here- my Denton comment was not intended to be anything other than giving you credit for watching local games. I wasn’t trying to be a jerk.

It's an internet forum, you're a fool to trust anything. But you don't need to be in the locker room to have an idea with whats going on with this team. All you have to do is watch what's going on out on the field.

But I've been in a place where decommits are no big deal. 'Feed 'em fish heads if they don't want to be here.' 'I'd rather have loyal players with heart'. 'No big deal, next man up!' 'He is obviously afraid of competition'. 'He obviously isn't *** ready'. That place is texags...

This IS a big deal! TH is losing the Locker Room! This kid is really a 5 star talent and the ripple effect .....well.....we shall see!

Don’t think this is NOT impactful....because it is!

Maybe losing, maybe press. Texas is not viewed positively on the national scene. ESPN putting it in the Bottom 10, Urban Meyer questioning the culture. You can bet this recruit and all other recruits are evaluating what is best for them. Good luck to the young man.

Saying a conflicting opinion is Texasags is TexasAgs.
Dam, you tricked me.

UM questioning a culture? Wow, you are correct but that dude must have a short memory.

Regardless of what you think about Urban Meyer - I question his ethics too - he is recognized as a college football expert and his record speaks for itself.

Bijon was committed to Ohio State, so there goes that theory....

No
And our recent history, along with the narrative surrounding our program, won't buy us the "pass" a program like ou or others will get from recruits...and deservedly so.
We will be riding on a razor's edge with media, fans, and recruits until we win big, convincingly, and consistently again. We have used up all "passes" a while back.

Herman **** in his mess-kit and fell back in it. Its that simple. He should have let things play out and put things into focus like Nick Saban obviously did at Bama. He made a huge mistake and it will cost him his job soon. This was the year. OU is down, and OSU was the only huge threat. He had a veteran QB and enough talent to get it done...Then he took the focus off football....and **** hit the fan. Covid, and money issues it causes , may save him this season, but Texas will be looking for a new coach soon. A losing season will get him run out of town this season. Alums are turning away, and you can imagine the T shirt fans will too. CDC better fix this or Texas won't only be second class nationally , but will be second class in the state as well; especially if Aggy ever gets good.

I am convinced that some parents and some HS players look at Herman and see an insincere and arrogant individual, an ineffective coach, a terrible game manager and a person who appeared to support an insurrection, not his employer.

If I’m right, some of those players and parents will take another look at Texas if he is removed.

Bijon was rumored to have a silent commit, so theory stands.
My point was when Texas wasn’t doing well Bijon kept the commitment that he made to Texas In the summer... before the season started.

Wait, you mean his decommitment could have something to do with his girlfriend who is a Sooner softball commitment??? Come on man... that doesn't fit the desired narrative of "TH Sux, his parents got turned off by the 'insurrection', our team is in total disarray". I've never heard of an 18 yr old boy being influenced by his girlfriend. That boring excuse doesn't feed the vultures on Hornfans!!

This is as depressing of a news piece as you will read today....or this week.. or this month...unless you are looking at something other than sports, that is...

What Billy Bowman's decommitment from Texas means for Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma

Well, this pretty much follows the 2020 script...

"1) Ja'Tavion Sanders could come as part of a packaged deal with Bowman.
I'd imagine that Tom Herman's first order of business upon learning of Bowman's decommitment was to get on the phone with Sanders and make sure he's not jumping ship too. At risk of stating the obvious, the only thing worse than losing a pledge from your second-best recruit is losing a pledge from your best recruit. Sanders and Bowman, who are teammates and close friends, are (or were) the headliners in Texas' 2021 class."

His girlfriend has been at ou...nothing new. It is very hard to imagine this is just about her...though it is possible. I'm not wanting to pile on TH and I personally dont attribute it to anything about the woke stuff... But it very likely is influenced by the growing narrative surrounding TH, player development, underperformance etc...and the fact that he has alot of influential friends and ou commits in his ear all the time.
I agree about the. vultures comment and I sure hope I'm not one.

You are right, iis.
Do you or anyone else understand why this is??

He committed because Lincoln Riley representing everything ou said please. That is just the way it is here in North Texas.
