Was flipping through channels during the VB match and came upon a news channel I've never watched before. The journalist said, "there certainly won't be any fraud in the vote counting because if there is ABC news will track it down." I nearly fell over, if there's fraud to be done abc news will be right there enabling it.

Yes. Obama actually had more votes in 2008. The population of the United States has increased by 17MM since 2012 and 21MM since 2008. Turnout % is the highest since 1960, an estimated 5% higher than 2008 and 7% higher than 2012. Using raw numbers to determine popularity also kind of ignores what's happened to polarization since 2008.

A relevant consideration; if one party were to commit fraud in an election, what would it look like? Pretty much exactly what we see, so some serious verification is in order.

With a republican senate he’s not going to be able to do too much damage, and I’m guessing Trump returns in 4 years.

I heard an interesting point as well. The level of early voting allowed people to make decisions after they did things like watch the first debate if the absentee ballot was sitting on the coffee table. And then it was just done.

I think Trump only returns if there were no fighters like him in the primary. I can see him backing someone if he thought he/she was a winner. A lot easier that way.
