Justice Sotomayor granted an order blocking enforcement of the contraceptive requirement in Obamacare. Pretty surprising. If her vote stands on this issue, she'll be the first Democratic Supreme Court appointee in 50 years who doesn't completely accept the abortion agenda.

Good for her. Maybe she's the next Earl Warren, someone who turns out to be something different than what was expected.

I'm unsure how far-ranging an impact this would have, but I suspect it is limited afa the ACA. Overall though, this doesn't have any bearing on the fundamental Roe v Wade issue. She's solidly pro-choice.

Both of those do prevent an embryo from implanting in the uterus.
