i know that some companies make this. basically i am referring to a wireless device that hooks up to your computer and has a transmitter; it has a receiver on your stereo that hooks up to your stereo receiver via say RCA inputs.

i had one of those RF devices that you put your stereo to like 88 fm and it transmits through your fm tuner. that blew; returned it.

anyone have one of the devices i described? i know that some companies make them. they transmit like at 2.4GHz. any recommendations? about how much? worth it?

i currently have a laptop and i can move my laptop to my receiver and hook it up via stereo jack from computer to RCA converter but would be cool if wireless....

look down a few posts for "Wireless Media Player". there is a link to a d-link product that does just that. you need an 802.11g wap or an ethernet cable. it will stream .mp3 and mpeg2 and photos to your stereo and tv. it has s-video, rca, composite video and optical audio outputs. and an ir remote control.

I have a Radio Shack 2.4 GHz "Wireless Audio/Video Distribution System" that I bought a few years ago. It's just been sitting in my closet since I bought a DVD player that also handles MP3 discs. It did the job, but I had some static when going through several walls.

I'm not too attached to it and am trying to get rid of some clutter...if you want to give it a shot you're welcome to it.
