Old setup:
Linksys WRT54GS with PC, printer, and Vonage all wired and then the wireles. Wired speeds are fine at around 18-20mbps, wireless around 6mbps.
Then I tried:
D-Link DIR-625 instead, with the WRT54GS (running dd-wrt firmware) used as a wireless bridge for my wii/xbox
This worked ok, and my wireless speeds were up to about 12-15mbps through the D-Link. But I had Vonage problems (which is why I ditched this router before IIRC) and sometimes some wireless issues.
Well now I had this idea:
Ditch the bridge, use my Linksys, and then hook the D-Link up to one of the ethernet ports and let the D-Link control my wireless devices. Well it was easy enough to do this, but my wireless speeds are again down to around 6mbps. I figured having the D-Link wired to the Linksys would let the D-Link run as before with good wireless speeds.
Any ideas?
I have set the QOS on my Linksys to "exempt" for the ethernet port and no improvement. Upload speeds are not affected much (2.8mbps wired, 2.5mbps wireless)
