wireless router help

Hey, I have a linksys wireless router hooked up to my cable modeem, and I need to know how to set it up so noone else can piggyback off of my signal without a password...also, how do I set the names of the network, and computers on? Thanks a lot

Look for your manual, it will give you an IP address like "214.54.12.131" or something like that to type in and you can configure the setting, including password.

your manual should take you to a site where you can set it all up.
but, if you have a mac, you should know that whatever password you use needs to have a $ before the actual password don't ask me why. i couldn't get mine to work, called the router people, and that's what they told me.
