Average percentage win by McCain 20%

If you have spent your last 35 years supporting pro choice, universal health care, quality education, etc. and you believe these issues are more important than any personal triumph, would you consider getting out of the race faced with the above numbers?

At a minimum, would you not go negative against the candidate who agrees with you on 95% of the issues?

Hillary has a chance to win my respect if she does not go out of control negative.

She has a chance to be a stateswoman as a leading Senator helping Obama pass their mutual agenda. But if she decides to win at all costs, she will destroy her legacy and her husband's legacy.

I know this is contrary to many people's perception of Hillary here, but I do not think she would go overtly negative. Partially it will be due to self interest. She would be greatly jeopardizing her standing in the party if she try that path.
