Wings

Well, with the SB coming up next week, I'm thinking wings. My favorite were alwasy the spicy garlic at BW3. With them gone, anyone know how to make them at home? I've still got a bottle of the BW3 sauce.

Try making a standard Buffalo wing sauce (1/2 cup hot sauce + 1/3 cup melted butter mixed together) and throwing in some roasted garlic.

Cover a head (or 6) of garlic with aluminum foil, cut off the top of the head (to make it easier to remove later), drizzle with olive oil, and roast in the oven @350 degrees (no need to pre-heat...not sure why).

Squeeze out the roasted garlic like toothpaste and mix it with the melted butter and hot sauce (Frank's red hot has a great Buffalo flavor).

Add some cayenne pepper if you want it a little hotter.

I think I'm gonna make a variety of wings this year - some jalapeno-honey, spicy garlic, terriyaki, and some garlic-Parmesan.

Mmmmmmm....wings.

Never really understood the wing thing myself.....

Lots of work, messy and little reward.

Might as well cook a whole chicken breast.

But thats just me.......I am a pig.

If you want a good...make that GREAT sauce for your wings do yourself a favor and get on line and buy some from the place where the wings were born - Anchor Bar in Buffalo. For HOT wings go with the suicide mix and for the more sensitive pallett the less potent stuff is mighty tasty as well. Don't miss the weather but Bufflao has some great food!
