windshield repair?

Anyone have any recommendations for windshield repair in Austin? I got a nice little star shaped crack/chip in my window yesterday from some bastard rock...

Also, what about places that do tint? The tint on the driver window is starting to peel near the side mirrors, so I need to get it re-glued or something...

I just found out that my insurance company (Allstate) pays for windshield chip/nick repairs. No deductible, they just do it.

Good call. Apparently State Farm also covers this.

I called a few places for the tint, and they all had the same price ($40), and one place said they would just remove the tint and re-tint it (so I assume this is standard practice). I guess I can try to take a razor blade to it and trim it or something...

Shouldn't cost you a dime. Insurance waives the deductible but you'll have to call them (insurance).
