Windows Media Player question

A few days ago, I started having some problems with my Windows Media Player.

Every few seconds it would start buffering, then play a little bit, then buffer for awhile longer.

It'd also do that annoying 10%, 25%, 50%, 80%, 95%, 70%, 22%, 90% thing.

And when it wasn't buffering, it would play for a little bit and then the video would freeze up.

And now when I'm trying to watch the A's game on MLB.tv, it freezes and/or buffers literally every 5 seconds. But this wasn't happening last week, or anytime before.

Does anybody know what's wrong and how I can fix it?

Thanks.

Even Microsoft knows that baseball sucks.

Seriously, it's probably a problem with mlb.tv. Are you seeing the same on other websites?

Questions:
1. How fast is your connection or what type is it?
2. Does it occur on non-streaming video?

I figured out how to defrag last night and did it.

A) I have a cable connection, but I did some bandwidth tests and its running extremely slow
B) No. Only streaming video.

I think I've got it figured out. I just went and hit reset on my router and then ran another bandwith test and it literally quadrupled.
