It is hard to go against Fed right now as Nadal is ailing and he has tons of momentum. Two months ago Nadal would have been a big favorite and now it will be interesting how his knees hold up. The grass will help as it is easy on the knees.

I am going with Fed v. Djockvich (sp?) in the final with Fed taking it and the grand slam record.

I would count out Murray. He has been good on grass and very good this year.

I like Federer as well. Nadal is way too banged up to make much noise. He nearly withdrew due to injury. Getting the #1 seed will help him early on but once he gets to the 4th round we'll see what he has left.

The draw would have Fed v Djokovic in the semi-final.

Fed has got to be comfotable favorite at the moment, but I'll be rooting for Murray. Him winning at Queens is a really good sign.

Nadal's out.

Wow, Nadal is out and hurt. Amazing after the all of a sudden burst of strength, endurance and muscle he magically put on. Then, it starts to decrease and he is getting hurt. This is truly a bizarre puzzle to put together. I feel so sorry for Roidal.

So freakin' bizarre. They seed the tournament and put Nadal #1 and then he withdraws like 2 days later. That is going to mess up the seedings big time.

So the #5 seed Del Potro now gets Nadal's spot in the draw. He is the highest seed in his quarter of the bracket. In the 3rd round he may have to play the 25th seeded player. In the 4th round he may have to play the 16th seeded player. Roddick as the #6 seed also has a favorable draw on the bottom half of the same quarter draw. That has to be the easiet, most wide open quarter of a draw I have seen in a major in a long time.

Federer wins 1st round match.

Top seeds still alive on the mens side. Federer wins very easily in his 2nd round match. He is looking like the old Federer on grass now. Very crisp groundstrokes and quick feet. He seems to have had 1000 lbs of pressure removed from his back now.

Del Potro went down in straight sets. Roddick should have a total cake walk into the semifinal round.

Not sure I really understand the bracket here, how is it that the 2 and 4 seeds meet in the semis? Shouldn't it be 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3?

Got me on that one. No #1 Seed in Andy's bracket never made it in. Now the other top seed #5 del Potro is gone. Murray and Roddick have lights paths ahead.

Federer advances to 4th round in 4 sets. Lost a set in a tiebreak which is out of character for him. He'll face Soderling who I expect he will dominate like he usually does.

Round of 16 set. Setting up with these 2 possible semis:

Roddick v Murray
Federer v Djokovic

Venus and Serena are on opposite sides of the draw and are both into the round of 16 as well. Serena is the #2 and has the better draw even though Venus is generally the better grass court player.

Ladies down to 4 now. Both Williams sisters are still in it. Venus plays #1 seed Safina who has needed 3 sets each of her last 2 matches to advance....meanwhile Venus has absolutely destroyed everyone in her path. I am predicting a blowout with Venus advancing to the finals.

Serena on the otherhand will have a grind it out match on her hands. Would love to see an all Williams final again.

Mens quarters are today. Man would I love to watch these matches....all 4 are going to be good.

Murray v Roddick is the match of the tournament right now. These 2 guys are so evenly matched. Roddick is playing his best tennis right now and even with his easy draw this is would mean so much to his career right now to get into the final at Wimbledon. Murray has beaten Federer the last 2 times they have played and you have to think he is just waiting for his next chance. If he beats Roddick then it could be a great chance for a great moment in his career.

In the other match I am not sure Haas can give Federer much of a match. Give Haas his due but the only by far the best player he has beaten thus far in this tournament is #11 Cilic. He will just be overmatched in this semifinal. It would be a huge upset if he beat Federer.

In the ladies singles, Serena is fighting to stay alive in the 2nd set right now. Venus will play next.

All Williams final!!

Federer up a set against Haas now. Pretty competitive match and it is 5-5 in 2nd set as well.

Roddick has a chance, but he has to be at his best....like 80%+ on first serve percentage. Federer is the best at blocking Roddick's bombs and staying in the point....a bad matchup for Roddick.

Great first set in the ladies final. Serena went Federer and took her game to another level when it mattered most in the tiebreak. Then Venus just couldn't match the intensity in the second set and the match was over.

Serena has now won 3 out of the last 4 slams. What a champion she is. Combined the Williams sisters won 8 out of the 10 titles at Wimbledon this decade....amazing.

Federer will beat Roddick. Federer is playing great. His serve is back and he really hitting a high%. His forehand is looking once again like the weapon it did 2-3 years ago. I thought Haas played a very good semi but it was just unbelieveable how Federer kept hitting these amazing passing shots. That Pete Sampras style overhand slam to end the match was classic. Federer is the best ever on grass IMO. Roddick is what #6 in the world......he'll do well to win a set and make a match out of it. Federer knows though if he can win the 1st set then he will likely win the match, thus he will really play a very high level tennis the 1st set. Roddick is known to come out slow on the other hand.

Well it was Roddick who came up big at the end of the 1st set. Federer has his break chances to serve for the set instead it was Roddick who broke Federer to win 7-5. Federer had some loose forehands there in the clutch. Maybe Pete is making him a bit nervous starring down at him right behind the end court.

Wow, what a 2nd set tiebreak. Is anybody else watching this? This is a freakin' great match.

Roddick was up 6-2 in the tiebreak and Federer fought off 4 set points to win 8-6 and take the 2nd. Some great clutch shots by Federer combined with some choking and reverting back to old from from Andy.

On to the 3rd set. Match all tied up.

Here's the answer: the dude in the OU cap sitting in the Player's Box (Roddick's row). Andy, do you really need the OU big game hex at this point?

Wow, what a great match. For those tennis fans out there this was one of the best 5th sets in a slam I have ever seen....save maybe the 5th set last year.

Roddick played the best 2 matches of his life but couldn't quite get it done. Roger is a true champion. Andy won 39 games to Roger's 38.....Andy's set totals were 7,6,6,6,14....and he still lost.....amazing!

Roger with 6th Wimbledon title and 15th overall slam title has cemented himself in as the best player of his generation and best ever on grass.
