wills/beneficiary question

I have a will set up that establishes a trust for my minor children if both my wife and I die. On my life insurance, who do I designate for secondary beneficiary? Is it "Joe blow, trustee of the testamentary trust created for the benfit of child1 and child2 in the last will and testament of Texas Law"?

My wife and I did the same thing. I suggest checking with the lawyer that created your will but the language we used for the first contingent beneficiary was:

"Testamentary Trustee designated in Joe Blow's Will if a testamentary is created under his Will and such Will is admitted to probate."

No need to name the actual person. "Trustee of the testamentary trust per my will."

FYI, you'll probably want to make the same death beneficiary designation on any retirement plans, self-employed benefit plans and IRAs.

Spouse is primary beneficiary, trust is first contingent beneficiary, ie secondary.
