How many times does one have to read about other groups of people who believed that the world was ending before one says "you know, the chances of being able to predict when the world is going to end have been historically very slim."

I read the book 2012: The Return of Quezatcoatl, the theory that ancient religions predicted the world was going to end is not really true. They believed 2012 was going to be the beginning of a new age and the end of a period of dark ages. This book is about doing drugs for the most part, surprise.

My mom was a little disappointed by the Harmonic Convergence in 1987. Maybe her crystals weren't aligned properly to her chakras and the planets and everything. Or maybe the skepticism and materialism of people like HHK is slowing Mayan time.
