Best Rock Album- Sky Blue Sky

I know that this has been known for a while, but thought I would bring it back up since the Grammys are tonight. I am pretty sure they have about zero chance of winning but it is a pretty big honor, even though they have won two Grammys already for lesser categories.

The award will be given later in the broadcast.

This is a really stupid question, but who were the 2 presenters for the best album award? I didnt see their face, I just heard the jab at Kanye
 
In general I am not a Foo Fighters fan and think that "Pretender" is a bad song, but the rest of their latest CD is damn solid.
 
The Foo Fighters are a tight band and deserved the win. Wilco should have got the Folk Rock Grammy, if there is such a thing.
 
I bought two Wilco albums at the urging of HF. There was a thread about great US rock bands that listed MMJ and Wilco as the top two from a general consensus. I think this would fall into the category of "not my taste". I like a bit more edge and a bit less Elvis Costello in my music. Just personal preference. I did like a good bit of the lyrics, but harmony wise and musically it just isn't my thing.
 
in my mind, SBS is probably the worst Wilco record since.....I don't know. not that it's bad. just a really high bar with ghost is born, yankee hotel, summerteeth, being there....you see me working.

in related news, they're playing in Htown in march. unlike every other good band on the planet, Wilco is actually playing in houston.

it's difficult for to comprehend how such a large city can have such a lame music scene. it seems like almost every band skips Htown.
 
I'm flying to Chicago for two of the Winter Residency shows. psyched. and I'll be there for Verizonaroo, too.
