Wie qualifies for LPGA tour

Curious to see how she does in 2009, now that she is a member of the tour and can play more events

i hope you feel the same about any player who has ever received a sponsor's exemption in any tour event. it's not her fault that tournament sponsors wanted her to play in an event they sponsor, is it?

I understand sponser exemptions, but I feel that this is a very good thing for Wie.

Wie has proven to others, but even more so to herself that she is in fact good enough to make and play on the LPGA. That is where she belongs. She needs to learn to play in that professional culture. She doesn't need to go chasing her father's dream of her being the first woman to play in the PGA on a regular basis.
I believe for her own sake it is good for her to get on the tour the way almost every other player does. She has played her way on. Congrats!
