Woman out $400k

Obviously there are plenty of jackholes out there that keep falling for this crap, or else they wouldn't keep sending the emails.

What I want to know is where her husband, whose retirement she blew through, is in all of this? A lifetime of savings evaporated because of her stupidity.

Wow. I live in Portland, but I normally watch KGW for the evening news instead of KATU. Hadn't heard about this one until now.

I sorta feel bad for the lady, but you would think common sense would kick in at some point after blowing the first few grand or so, with no return. $400K is just sad.

If I ever get senile enough to fall for something like this, please just save everyone the trouble and put me away somewhere.

Remember that woman in Tennessee who shot and killed her husband and got off? She had blown their entire life savings on the Nigerian scam.

How about Washington were it's now legal to put people down if they're sick enough?

I thought it was because someone beat me to the punch or I filled out the form wrong? My time will come and we'll see who gets the last laugh.

she seems to be the kind of person who would be prone to a gambling addiction. maybe it was this thing instead of slots or lottery tickets.....she just needed the right chance and trigger... to bad....even if only few people like this fall for it a year, this scam will keep going for a while

Replying to those emails brightens my day. That said, I don't trust Nigerians. I feel this way because my Nigerian friends tell me not to trust Nigerians.

Debt = second mortgage + lien on car + other loans

In other words, it will take her 3-4 years to pay off all of the loans she took out AFTER she took a match and lighter fluid to savings and the retirement account.

I fell for a scam like this one. It's called 'marriage.'

Don't fall for phase II of the scam: Divorce. Some claim it's expensive because it's worth it, but I don't know...
