Why we won

I had not seen my boy-cat ‘Gold the entire game. He was off sleeping in some other part of the house. Immediately before the fumble, he came in to the den and jumped up on my lap.

Now, this cat is white with orange points, kind of like our road whites.

When he jumped up on me, I scratched him on the head and said, “‘Gold, you’re the magic cat. You got to bring a good thing for the Longhorns!”

And the rest, my friends, is history.

On my end, my heart couldn't take a repeat of the OSU game, so I focused on the 'stros game. Yordan went off, and the Horns held on. Glad I could do my part.

The Horns won because they scored 34 points and held K-State to 27. If we really want to get down to it in a meta philosophical sense, think about it this way, before the game if I had told you Texas would win 34-27, I think every single one of us would have taken it, so does it really have matter who scored what and when, no, Texas won and that's what mattered. :hookem:

We didn't win. KSU just ran out of time!
From what I saw, the D played their guts out late in the 4th. It was impressive. Three caused fumbles? That’s Herculean effort.

If Sark can continue to tweak his 2nd half play calling, and Ewers continues to evolve, I like where this team is going.

I’ll take the win and like the direction of the program. Also good timing with aggy and OU on the downswing, but he has to figure out halftime adjustments. Otherwise, we will need a lucky turnover late in the 4th every game.

Gee whiz, FW, can’t you just let me have my superstitions?

Texanne, our cats would make a nice picture. My cat, Jordan, is colored more like the home uni - orange with some white highlights. He usually sits right next to me while I'm watching the football game - he didn't do anything special at the time of the fumble, so I guess he doesn't have the magic touch your cat has. But Jordan is a loyal Longhorn fan (as you would expect from a cat who is orange and white!).
