Why was Benghazi attack not important enough?

The attack (and questions surrounding it) was not a topic on any sunday newsshow ( except of course Fox) UNLESS it was brought up by a Republican guest.
In the case of Meet the Press it was brough up but David Gregory interrupted Fiorina and never went back to it.

The Dems could clear things up . As things stand now with what is actually known either BO et al is covering up OR he is incompetent.

Either option should concern voters.

BO must be soooooo happy Sandy came along
 
I don't see how this isn't a big story. They basically caught the Administration lying about the incident. However, I only see Fox News giving it any real attention. Richard Mourdock's stupid-*** statement got infinitely more coverage, even though it's no where near as consequential.
 
There is a third and more realistic alternative - there is a big coverup AND they are very incompetent.
 
Yes but you have to give the Obama/Chicago administration credit for sealing records. There has never been anything like them. The Benghazi records have been sealed as well, have they not?
 
All I can say is thank goodness for Fox news! Otherwise, many of these important stories such as F&F and Benghazi would get no air time at all. Its funny all the attacks from the left against Fox news but in reality Fox does a great service by providing some balance to the biased MSM.
 
I think it just comes down to the level of acceptance for the average American voter these days. There was infinitely more outrage when WJC lied to a grand jury about his BJ's from an overweight intern. An American getting killed in the Middle East is akin to a "**** happens" bumper sticker these days.

The timing of the attack was in the middle of a news cycle that didn't have much room to devote to it. If you recall in the days leading up to 9/11/01, the biggest news scandal was the Gary Condit crap. If Benghazi had occurred after the election or during a slow part of the year, I think it would have gotten a lot more attention.

The "cover up" seems to be nothing more than incompetence in the people that Obama surrounds himself with. Semantics only becomes this important when people are reaching for something to be outraged about.

The question to ask now is would they do it all the same again and why did they hold back the military if that is what happened? If they wouldn't do it the same then what would they do differently?

Also, what contingencies were in place that failed? Surely they had a plan if an American Embassy was to be attacked, right? Is there a different plan now?

Letting it drop is not an option whether there is an election or not.
 
Well Bo's plan of waffling around on giving out real information until after the election looks like it will work.
Bo is counting on getting cover from MSM and he is getting it.
NYT article suggests that even thought there was intel to suggest a build up and training of more al quaeda and even though there were many attacks in the 2 months prior to 9/11 in Benghazi including the consulate itsefl
the NYT concludes there wasn't enough direct intel or signs to suggest there could be an attack on the consulate on 9/11.
Thye NYT apparently doesn't know the significance of the date 9/11

No where is the article which was designed to give cover to BO is there a single question asking why we gave our people in harms way ANY help.

What went on prior to the attack should concern us all but what went on during the attack and now for weeks after should sicken us all.

Really? I have not seen that the white house has admitted they( as in anyone at the WH l whether it was BO Panetta etc) did not know there was a fight raging on for SEVEN hours?

If the White House is denying they knew that is arrogance never seen before.

since we know there were high level people watching it in real time WHY wouldn't the CIC also want to watch it?

Weren't BO and Panetta meeting at 5 pm at the WH?
 
11, this is not a big story because the media outlets refuse to make it a big story. If the media latched on to this an exposed the dirty details I guarantee it would outrage the public.
 
The biased media refused to air this story to protect the Prez.

Now, luckily for them, Sandy has come a callin' and swamped any chance of Benghazi getting air time before the election.

BO's deal with the Devil pays off again.

Oh I knew you weren't defending it. I thought you meant that BO etc deny knowing there was a fight to the death going on.

Panetta's ignorant remark about never sending help in if you didn't have all the details/facts was too amazingly vile to even bother with a response.

I hope Panetta was asked by BO to say that> I hope Panetta really isn't that stupid.

Newt says he ws told by a US Senator that two netwroks have copies of emails BOs security advisor sent to the military who was trying to mobilize Marines, C130's etc telling the military to stand down and NOT help the people under fire at Benghazi.

In a way as much as I do not like BO's presidenting I hope this isn't true

I hope BO would not have told the military to not go help our own people getting killed.
However the facts that we do know support BO doing just that.

Most of the coverge is storm related but what I have seen so far is not realluslanted towards BO

I think by this week end the election will swing back into importance

Hopefully the MSM will also turn to the many lies the BO admin has kept repeating

and maybe the media will also ask questions about why we didn't protect our own even when we could

Beyond the 4 Americans killed there were many other Americans wounded.

Funny Michtex. You despise Foxnews but give a link to Salon. I agree that Fox slants to the right but it is basically the only mass media outlet that slants right.
