Why so many threads with ellipses .......

I haven't been on this board for a while. Why do so many topics have ellipses in the title? If this is an inside joke, I don't get it.

Just pretend ellipses.

The editor will not allow for a real ellipse. It will remove the extra space but will allow too many dots.
