I don't ever recall two days in a row during mlb playoffs without a game. The NLCS should have started yesterday, and have the ALCS lag behind by a day. Thanks again, Bud Selig.
Because there were 2 sweeps and the other 2 series only went 4 games. The first round ended earlier than normal as a result. The playoff schedules are done in advance and set in stone so the ALCS and NLCS couldn't be moved up.
I think his question might be (if not it is at least my question) - Why are the LCS set in stone? Why not make them flexible depending on the outcome of the LDS?
Not true. Many times in nba playoffs they start a new series before other series are over. I realize what mlb is doing is to ensure that they hit the target start date for the world series, so I guess in effect, it is all for the sake of tv.
