Why I'm feeling Angry

I Just watched the debate and feel I have a big stake in this presidential race, but since I don't live in Ohio, Florida, Colorado or Iowa, what I think doesn't really matter much. I have a competent Congressman, Michael Burgess, who is a decent man. But all the political will in a district drawn-up to assure he or someone like him will get elected is done to make him an ever more right wing supporter of the Right Wing poliitical agenda. There is no winning for him if he were to find a middle path that most of America could support.

We have a broken political system that is going to require that rich folks, poor folks and folks in the middle are going to have to sacrifice, pay more, produce more and endure some austerity to fix. Yet almost no energy is being spent by politicians telling Crockett, Mr. Deez, Roger 35 what they want us to do to make the country better. Nope, all the energy is being spent afixing blame and making us doubt the other guy. When we have leadership and common goals, Americans can put incredibe energy towards solving problems, righting wrongs and applying a lot of creativity to making this a better world. But our politicians are just presenting problems and acting like electing them is the fix, without ever coming close to presenting a plan that fixes anything.

It's ok. O really was that bad. Many of us have known it for a long time. Romney might be able to work us out of this huge mess we are in as a country.

Even people outside the major metropolitan area in swing states don't really have all that much power. Columbus decides for Ohio, Philadelphia for PA, etc. At least Burgess seems like he really cares to solve some problems or he's gotten really good really fast at placating the Texas voters in his district.

Crockett, It's OFFICIAL. It took a while but you and I finally agree on something. I've always said we need more tax payers and less people paying more taxes. We need unemployment around 4.5% and that's including the people that have gave up looking. That number doesn't even show up in the Obama unemployment rate of 8.3 or whatever we are at right now. Trust me when I tell you without getting into anything personal in my life that my wife and I have been hit close to rock bottom beginning about 2 years ago.
