Why do white Union members hate little black kids?

This is was a double protest in Milwaukee Wisc last week as teachers unions and SEIU protested Gov Walker's visit to a " choice' school ( Messner Catholic Prep)in Wisconsin.
85% of Messener's kids go to college while public schools there boast a drop out rate in the top 5 Nationally.

Any wonder parents want their kids to go to "choice' schools like Messner?

Check out the vid of the protest and notice the white members protesting a Choice school for black kids. One thug tells a white teacher to get out of the neighborhood and stay home. Nice uh?The Link

They will do/say whatever it takes to protect their system. And, if that means the trampling over the people they claim to be concerned about so be it. Besides, they will figure out a way to use tax money and buy them back.

I think the unions just want that kind of school environment and opportunity for all kids rather than a select few. It's absurd to suggest they hate little black kids, but that's kind of your MO so whatever.

I think they are often ignorant on the way forward and they have a really, really poor way of going about things, so please don't take this as me sticking up for them at all.

No kidding? do you really think union members are all about oppportunity for the kids.
then Why spew and rant against a school that was clearly doing right by the kids? Why not try to make things better in public schools?
OR if you are honest do you consider for even a moment that the union anger is about lost of unions jobs for teachers?

the point about white union members hating on black kids is to show how stupi it is when anyone accuses conservatives of hating blacks or latinos or saying whites want to hang blacks in trees
but you knew that

Unions have seen the writing on the wall and are starting to change their ways. The NEA is now endorsing a teacher evaluation model that includes student performance. Five years ago, this would have been unimaginable.

While I think the unions are poorly run, I don't blame them for poor student performance. SAT scores from the economist back in February show where non-union states rank.

"I think the unions just want that kind of school environment and opportunity for all kids rather than a select few"

Really? does this look like unions are all warm and fuzzy for actually improving schools for kids?

"It looks like the National Education Association is not putting its money where its mouth is.

In its mission statement, the nation’s largest teachers union asserts that “we will focus the energy and resources of our 3.2 million members on improving the quality of teaching, increasing student achievement and making schools safer, better places to learn.”

But a secret union document reveals that the NEA’s commitment to “improv(ing) teaching and learning” works out to a paltry $7.44 per member every year. This is according to a document obtained from an internal source of the Indiana State Teachers Association, one of the NEA’s state affiliates. All dollar amounts refer to the NEA’s 2010-11 budget, and are the most recent numbers available.

While the majority of a teacher’s dues dollars stay with the state union, $166 is sent to the NEA every year, which is the parent union. As already stated, the NEA only spent $7.44 of that amount on efforts to improve teaching and learning.

To put that into perspective, the NEA spent four times as much ($31.05 of the $166) on “legislative and ballot initiatives” and “partnerships and public relations.” The union spent $68.69 of the $166 on administrative support, governance, legal support, and leadership development and constituency support.

That explains why the NEA could afford to pay its top three leaders more than $1 million in salary in 2009, the most recent year those figures were available.

The NEA is clearly more concerned about taking care of its leadership team than it is about improving student learning."

I think after reading that linked article and watching the vid again where white union members are protesting a very successful school for black children I ask again:
why do white union members hate black children?

"why do white union members hate black children?"

Hate to be the party pooper, but I'll try an analogy.

Joe likes his job and has good union benefits. The product that his corporation sells is "ok," but well below international standards for excellence. Despite missing expectations, the union holds tight to its line (with the economy sucking and all).

A certain demographic of the population doesn't use this corporation's product appropriately. It's not that they don't appreciate it... it's that this demographic was born into a system where the product was never offered to their parents or grandparents the way that it was for more affluent demos.

State politicians are trying to link Joe's union's benefits to the performance of this unlikely demo. Naturally, the union blames the system rather than trying to find ways to innovate and help this demographic embrace the product.

I think it's quite easy to see both sides of this argument. Unfortunately, the ones most hurt are this "demographic" that is pandered to by both sides of the aisle, claiming to have solutions but offering no help.

I can see where you are trying to go and maybe there are some who feel that way
but I can't see why union teachers would want to close a school for black children that is suceeding just because the schools the union members teach at are failing so badly. Why punish black school children who are actually learning something just because the schools you teach in don't educate ?

I think everyone in the nation saw how much the Wi teacher union members cared about their students as they screamed and ranted around the capitol forcing the schools where they were contracted to teach to close.
