Hi, Texanne,
I just got back from The Ballpark. Very disappointing - that was a winnable game. Two things cost the Rangers the game - leaving two runners in scoring position in the 4th, and staying with Kevin Millwood too long. His fastball just didn't have its usual stuff tonight - wonder if he's wearing down late in the season?
On a side note, tonight was also the Paul McCartney concert at the Boss Hawg Bowl next door. The Rangers and the APD did a terrific job of traffic control - virtually no problem for me getting to and from The Ballpark in the normal times, and they did a good job of deconflicting the two events.
Derek Holland is on the mound tomorrow - I'll be working tomorrow night, so the rest of the Ranger zealots will have to take care of the mojo to get a much-needed win.
I agree with you. I have thought that Detroit and Minn-e-sota had the Rangers number for a long time.... I frankly dreaded this 4 game series and after last night, I was thinking damn, the freakin' twins are gonna come in here and steal 3 of 4 games. Thankfully I was wrong and the Good Guys POUNDED the twins 11-1.... SWEEEET!
