Didn't check the game thread and had to follow the game on twitter, but why the hell wasn't Rocha ejected after throwing at Rupp for no obvious reason?
I was watching that live and I thought about the useless warnings. A thought came to me about a solution might be that if it's that obvious a pitcher is throwing at a batter, why not just give the batter 1st base, and tell the pitcher, do it again, intentional or not, and you're out.
I was watching the OU video feed for Friday's game and the Sooner announcers thought the pitcher intentionally threw at Etier. This did not seem to be a surprise to them.
After that I have no doubt that Sunday's incidents were on purpose. I don't know about you, but I got sick and tired of Morgan Ensberg talking about retaliation the rest of the game. I know that is the way it works in MLB, but not in college. I think the Horns "retaliated" in the best way - sweeping.
That's the problem with using pro players as college color commentators. Most of them never played college ball and see everything from a pro perspective. If ESPN uses that dumbass Orel Hersheiser again at Omaha I think I'm going to puke. Give me Keith Moreland any day!

Yeah talking about finding the right time where the runner won't hurt you or an ok time to get ejected because you will be.
Actually, what suprised me most about the whole game was that Ruffin closed it out. Chance has demostrated that he won't take that kind of **** without replying in kind, and in fact my daughter and I both discussed that Ruffin would earhole someone if he was allowed to pitch.
Augie, Skip, or Tommy one must have said something to him. I'd guess along the lines of "Just finish it, we win, we go home with the sweep, and you don't get suspended."
