Why Augie Will Never Manage in the Majors

He could not take the champagne celebrations for winning the division series. No celebrating until you accomplish the ultimate goal - World Series Champion.

I totally agree with Augie. Act like you have been there before and if you have not, you will be back next year.

He doesn't want to coach in the majors. He is a perfect fit in college baseball. He is a born teacher and loves where he is.

There is more teaching involved with the young guys, particularly in the "life lessons" department, and Augie is a master at that. The Big Leagues aint his bag baby.

Obviously, I am not very good at satire.

My point was Augie must "cringe" when he sees major leaguers celebrating with champagne after a division series win. This is the opposite of the Horns; no dogpiling until a CWS win.

Augie is a teaching coach and the very best. He cares about the life lessons that the boys are learning also. How lucky we are to have him.
