Why Am I Going to Waco?

We bought tickets awhile back--when it looked like the team had the desire and the ability to perhaps steal a tough road game from Baylor. Sadly, the last few games have demonstrated otherwise. I have nothing new to add to what has already been discussed but I'm just so puzzled as to what happened over the Christmas break. It looks like the team needs counseling as much as coaching. I wish Coach G. would bench several current starters and start the Freshman who are the only ones that play with passion and confidence (aside from Kat). I can't believe we're already in the "maybe next year" mode. And I can't believe I'm going to Waco on Super Bowl Sunday with my rabid Baylor-fan partner to watch us lose by 30 (if the last two games are any indication). Rah rah.

LOL. He's my partner--yes, a house divided. He cheers for the Longhorns except when we play Baylor. And I cheer for the Bears except when they play Texas. And except when I read the former president receives a hero's welcome at during a Lady Bears game. That I could never cheer for.

You're going to Waco for the exact same reason that I'll turn on the television tomorrow: to hope that the Longhorns show up and play a full game like they are capable of. I'll be honest and say I don't think they have a snowball's chance in hell (another reference to Waco) of coming out with a victory, but I'll still be watching, and hoping.
 
So what would you have? Outgoing President says I want to come to the game. Did you want Mulkey to say go to hell Mr President after he welcomed her and the team to the White House after their national championship. Thank God Baylor has more class than some here.

George Bush is still my US President and I'll treat he and Laura with respect as they return to Texas. Thanks for your service to the nation Mr President!

Seems the Presidential visit didn't seem to help the Bears. All politics aside... So Texexed... how did you enjoy the game??????

Great game. I take my crow well-down (smile). I admit I didn't believe they could win in Waco (sorry Coach G for doubting) after their last two games. The crowd I thought was surprisingly unenthusiastic. I was excited with the shakeup in the starting lineup and impressed with the way Texas started the game--exactly the opposite of the a&m game. Baylor didn't play well. They missed about 500 easy layups (it seems) and their free-throw shooting was awful. If they had shot better from the line they would have won since we had twice as many fouls (it seemed like) as they did the whole game. The blonde female ref seemed to call all of them. She's a little whistle happy. I like watching Coach Kim in action--I admire her enthusiasm and enjoy watching her pace the sidelines. She was not a happy coach during post-game interviews. I would hate to Nebraska (Baylor's next opponent). Go Horns!
 
I also like my crow well down. Actually I like it downless. And I would hate to Nebraska next game as well.

Didn't they say I would hate to Texas after the Oklahoma game?
