Who's Very Satisfied with their OS?

I have no problems with any of my XP Service Pack II computers. As an added bonus I can in no way associate myself with this moron:

I am extremely satisfied with XP Pro. Funny thing is, once they get the damn OS working good, they release a new one that sucks. I am guessing Vista is a solid year away from being "good".

I am very satisfied with my Windows Vista PC at home. It runs Windows Vista Home Premium. It helps that it is a quad core machine with a nVidia 8800 GTS video card. It is the best computer that I have ever had by a huge margin.

My only complaint with Windows is its susceptibility to viruses. That isn't Microsofts fault as much as losers who have nothening better to do than target the large windows customer base. With the momentum that Apple has gained lately, I expect those same guys to shift some attention to Apple... and then we'll see how much Apple fan boy enjoys his computer.

I have not migrated my 4 PCs to Vista... but only because I have never had a problem with XP.

My laptop running Vista was crashing almost the day it came out of the box.

Having used it for months now, I am at a loss in conveying how absolutely ****-poor I think Vista is. Instead, I will let this banana do the talking for me :

I've never warmed up to OSX as much as I liked OS9 but running 10.2.9 on a 330 MHz computer might be part of that.

XP has been rather pleasant in the few years I've been using it. The first Windows OS I've actually enjoyed using.

The little I've used Vista I've hated it. But I have a new notebook coming in 1-2 weeks w/ Vista Business installed so I guess I'll really find out.

I was running 2000 Pro at home for the longest time up until last year, never saw a need to replace it. Finally installed XP Pro for more multimedia support and I've been very happy with it. Been running XP at work for years w. no issue.

I use XP for gaming (switching to vista soon for directx 10). I don't know what games are available for Mac really, maybe someone here can fill me in. For everything else I use Kubuntu. Cant beat free.

I'm perfectly happy with my operating systems. Honestly, I like the fact that Mac and Linux are making so much progress lately. Competition will only result in good things for us end users.

I llike mine, OS2200, multitasking multiprocessor OS, with DMS2200 database, and TIP and MAPPER, it kicks verymuchass. It done stuff for years (since 1977 and Exec8 (precursor to OS1100 and OS2200), that badboy had no problem with running 4 CPU processors and 2 IO processors on one machine and keeping everything straight and recoverable, the recovery part was important because the hardware was a POS that would crash regularly, but you'd rebboot and let EXEC8 do it's stuff and you would be running again in 10 or 15) that Apple and Microsoft and Linux are finally starting to catch up with today. I also like the Unix that runs on some of my boxes. for the little stuff XP pro and home is working ok.

I'm very satisfied with 32-bit Ubuntu on my old laptop that I use for school. It's fast, stable, and doesn't use many resources. 64-bit Ubuntu on my desktop is nice as well, and if you have a powerful computer has some great graphic effects. There's still a couple of bugs that need to be worked out, but for a free OS, I can't complain.

On the same desktop, XP Pro SP2 has served me well since I bought the license back in undergrad. Now that I'm back in school and can get Vista Ultimate for $35, I think it might be time to upgrade.

I have XP Pro at work and OS/X Leopard at home on a Macbook. I'm satisfied with both but OS/X is a lot better for the home stuff.

on the other hand, Windows ME =

yes windows Me does indeed suck [an unpleasant thing], I had it on my 5 yr old machine and replaced it with XP home, no problems since (other than the usual windows crap).
