If I was going to hire and I was a big school with a strong baseball program, I'd hire Pat Murphy out of ASU.

I'd make sure I had mechanisms in place to be sure that compliance was in order (something that should not be left up to baseball coaches anyways) and make it clear under no certain terms that there would be no violations at my program.

The man can out and out coach, he can motivate kids, and he can recruit. I suspect that he wont run contrary to the NCAA again having had everything stripped from him for something that is not even a NCAA violation any more, or even a baseball program issue at the time.

I'd also make sure that my school did not have other major "lack of institutional control" violations hanging around my neck.
