Who will be #24

My thoughts say it will be S - Adrian Colbert from Mineral Wells... after this weekend. One recruiting service says it's 50/50 Texas & Baylor... another service says it's 80% Texas! He is a soft verbal to Baylor which occurred back in October. Not sure this has any bearing on the situation, but he has been a long time Longhorn fan and that can't hurt... We will see after this weekend.

Mario is my guess. I can't find the list of banquet attendees this weekend but I think he was on it. It sure would be sweet if Mario changed to the Horns after the banquet and added a 5 star DE to the fold. DE Armstead would be a good alternative.

If we're not done we are damn close. If we keep going that means only one thing: there will be more than a little attrition this Spring.

I don't have any knowledge, but as a wish list...I believe we don't have a true safety in this year's class, so Colbert would be a top priority. Also, the two DE's coming in-one may get a look at tight end, and the other may be more a DT body-type (per this morning's AAS recruiting article), so Mario Edwards would be the other atop my list. Fingers crossed, and eagerly awaiting news from the banquet.
I believe we can expect some attrition this spring, and one article I read thought we could recruit around 27 this year. Maybe that includes two mid-term enrollees, the juco guys counting against last year's total (?).

IMO saftey is the #1 need. Only three returing on roster next year. 85 is the real number in recruiting and Texas is two over as of now. Attrition?

Lots of attrition. From what I have read, 2 WRs and 2 DTs have one foot out the door, plus it looks like Vaccaro will declare for the draft (especially after his Twitter posts today).

The correct of number of grants counting all current verbals minus the known seniors who are leaving is 81 so if anyone else leaves after Jan. 2012 we need 6 or 7 more recruits just to be on the safe side.

My count was different but I am not near my tally sheet. Counting known transfers and seniors, I had us about 2 or 3 scholies short as of current verbal list (including the JUCOs). This is based on the 85 toal scholarship limit not the 25 annual limit on new scholarships.

That was stupid! On the last play he was tackled. How did that happen?
This guy looks like quite a stud. Great anticipation on defense and looks like he is playing against a pee wee league when he has the ball. Looks a lot like the Jonathan Grey runs.

i agree with olehorn. some of his opponents are a full "head" shorter than him. that said, he does look like he's shot out of a cannon on several of these runs and makes everyone look like they have bad angles.
