Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Is anyone else as excited as I am that this show is back in primetime?

I watched but it wasn't the same show to me. Regis just seemed a bit off. Lighting was horrible and everone looked like they were baking in the sun. Not show in HD seemed kind of lame. Did they also change up some of the lifelines?....I don't remember that "x2" one. Also didn't like celeb coming on at the end to answer one question for charity. Just play the dang game already and stop trying to do interviews with the guests and celebs during the show.

Yeah, they have changed it up a bit, with a time limit and a celebrity expert on call, a few other minor alterations. You still have to sit through the ridiculously easy questions up to $500 or $1000 before it gets interesting, the fastest finger question, which seems mostly about lucky guessing on pop cultures items, and the chats with the contestants about their family and work life.
But it is still fun to try to get the harder questions, I have been watching it.

I'm not a fan of the time limit. One of the things I liked about the show when it debuted was that there was no time limit. It seemed all the other game shows out there--Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, The Price is Right, Family Feud, etc.--had some sort of time limit, but with "Millionaire," it was just you against the question, which really increased the drama of the show.

I like the time limit. In the old days, you'd have to listen to about 15 minutes of some blowhard contestant tell you WHY he knew the answer before he'd finally get around to giving the answer. OK, that's an exaggeration, but still, you will recall that a lot of the contestants would drone on and one about why they knew the answer, usually in some fashion trying to show off.

I haven't watched the prime time, but I like the changes made to the daytime with Meredith Viera. I like "ask the expert", if only because about half the time, the "expert" has no idea.

I want to go on this show. Who wants to be one of my phone-a-friends?

I wish they got the dude from Slumdog. He was awesome. Would like to see him guest host a few.

Regis asked what she wanted to do with any money she won and she said her main goal was to get out of the state of Oklahoma!!
