Who wants some OAK. A LOT OF OAK. I have LOTS OF O

Here's the deal: One of my roofing guys was working in Bastrop for awhile doing tree clearing stuff - ScoPro knows him as well as some others we've worked for.
Anyhow, this place he was working on has a TON of Oak that he cleared out & we want to do something productive with it.

We have a dump trailer, chainsaws, my 4 ton log splitter (does OK but won't work that well for pieces more than 12" circumference).

We want somewhere closer to 'in town' to store some pieces while we work it. My place in Drippin' is just a bit too far to go & if someone has a location we can use closer to Austin, that would be great. Trade-off: We will cut / split / haul an amount of Oak for you that borders on insane.

Also, if any of the Shagsters want to come out to wherever it is we work this wood, I would more than happily let you go @ it with our tools so you can cut some Oak by yourself.

This stuff was taken down ~1 month ago & you really need it aged about 5 to 6 months before you cook with it... perfect timing for The Season.

Hell, if we get enough interest & the logistics are right, we could have a beer drinkin' chainsaw festival (yeah, that's a great combination!).

Provided the numbers of people are right, I WILL host this in Drippin' plus lay out a Q spread - $ 2.00 per noggin for all the brisket, pork ribs, beef ribs you can fit, BYOB & BYO sides (other than Bush's grillin' beans).

I would really love to have a bunch of y'all out. If we DID run an event in Drippin, kickoff around 10a on a Saturday, Q ready around 3p provided I can get the meat & smoker going by 8a.

I would suggest this is a team building exercise for guys & little guys only; leave the chix @ home today.

So, who is in? NO PM's

hell I can take care of this problem for you for less than $5. That's what a gallon of gas and a match go for these days right?

Son of, I don't really know how much space I need 'cause I don't know how much space we can get.

I have been told that he's got enough Oak to go about 15' high x 50' long x 50' wide (brush piled, of course).

That's a LOT of Oak, obviously.

There's a slight delay in "some" of my end of the project, however. On my R side, I broke my clavicle & 4th rib on April 24th (got thrown from one of my horses).

This means that for now, I can't do much in the way of heavy lifting, running a chainsaw, etc. But I sure heck can play middle management & point fingers while I piss off labor.
