Who pitches Friday?

Jungmann goes Friday. You want your ace going first game for the same reason as we just saw Monday. At least he will have a day's rest if we really needed an inning or two out of him on Sunday. Cole's no rest appearance wasn't the norm. And when Taylor pitches he throws deep into games and a high amount of pitches. We throw him Saturday and that's all we get from him for sure.

Also, there is enough difference between Jungmann's dominance this year and Green's performance that doesn't make them as interchangeable as a few year's ago. A team like Kent St. with 3 very close starters has a little more flexibility with the order. However this year, Jungmann provides the significantly better chance of getting game one. And after facing elimination each of the last 3 games of the regional, I just don't see Augie wanting to temp fate that soon again. And winning 2 straight from Arizona St. is quite different from Kent St. I'd say we are making it a top priority to get up in the series early and maximize our confidence and momentum as of late.
 
In a short series, you can't overstate the importance of winning game 1. You don't want to be backed into a corner.
 
For ASU, it likely will be Brady Rodgers. He last pitched 8 innings against New Mexico in their Regional - 8W-4L with 2.85 ERA.
