First R rated movie I ever saw. My brother and I did a theater switch at the Forum 303 Mall - Forum 6 Theatre and we were wideeyed thinking all R rated movies would be this funny.

The movie is based on a true story. Ned Dowd's sister wrote the book about her brother. Ned is in the movie and plays Ogie Oglethorpe.

This young man has had a very trying rookie season, what with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him.

Well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle. Number six, Ogie Oglethorpe.

Ogie was in real life - Goldie from T-Bag Bay. And he says he didn't get to play himself in the movie because Paul Newman's brother was the victim of him throwing a coke on a teammate.
